The Global Prison

The horrors of Gaza scream the truth of our prison,
our concentration camp,
our global village where Gaza is but one neighbourhood.
Gaza is but one stage on a trajectory of events
that will, eventually, find us. 

What is happening in Gaza is happening to all of us.
If we cannot prevent or stop the evil
ripping, burning, pounding and starving the lives
of children, parents and grandparents in Gaza
we cannot prevent or stop this evil from visiting us.

Israel is a member of the United Nations.
Why do these nations united have a genocidal nation as a member?
Why did they allow an apartheid nation to sit among them?
What does this tell us about these nations united?
What are they united for if they can’t say no to apartheid and genocide?

Why do each of these nations house an Israeli Embassy on their ”democratic” soil?What’s the use of diplomacy with a nation that lacks basic decency?
Why can’t the nations of the world expel Israel from their ranks,
or independently send the Israeli diplomats packing?

The people of the world want nothing to do with extreme racists
and vicious mass murderers,
but the rulers of the people, dressed in representative authority,
state with their actions that ”diplomacy” is more important than decency, justice, peace, or life. Not to mention, the will of the people.

The horrors of Gaza are awakening the rage of love and the power of truth among the people of the world.
The bars of propaganda are weak with rusty realities. The foundation of traditions are showing cracks.
Prisons were never effective against love and truth.
