One comment. Many other commentators have given their perspective on the obvious decline of the USA. They all seem to forget that this decline is and has been typical for every empire that we have ever known. They all fall going through ever more disgusting and horrifying decadence until the very end. The methods of torture change, but not the torturing itself. And there are new empires waiting in the wings.

If we don’t succeed in building a future where everyone crosses the finish line, humanity itself will be finished. We must build the future we want starting today, wherever we are and with whatever resources we have.

The two main problems for success will be control of corruption, and forgetting that even the greatest leaders make mistakes.
